DSP. DANIEL NDUKWE BAGS MOST ICONIC SECURITY MEDIA OFFICER OF THE YEAR AWARD!
Right on the 12th day of January 2023 as the feeling of the new year was still in the atmosphere, the southeast young icons where received in a grand style by solid 100.9 FM in oncollaboration with clue Africa magazine at the prestigious Nike lake resort hotel Enugu. It was in this event that Enugu state police command PPRO, (DSP) DANIEL NDUKWE bagged the MOST ICONIC SECURITY MEDIA OFFICER OF THE YEAR AWARD.
Also present at this event were Okwuluora Ndigbo, Didi's signature, Dame.barr.Ugochi Madueke, Hon.dr. Dubem Oguegbu PhD (Dubby Gustavo), Hon.Barr. Peter Mbah, AMB.DR. Ifeanyi Odii. who were also awarded respectively.
Daniel Ndukwe, a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), hails from Ndi-Ibe Ohafia in Ohafia Local Government Area of Abia State. He was born at Ofatura in Obubra Local Government of Cross River State, on 19th April 1988, to the family of Ezieogo and Ugoeze Ndukwe Ekea of blessed memory.
He started and completed his primary and Junior Secondary Schools at Ofatura Community Primary School and Community Secondary School Ofodua respectively, both in Obubra Local Government of Cross River State. He likewise, proceeded to Ohafia, Abia State where he completed his Senior Secondary School Education at Okamu Secondary Commercial School in Okon-Aku community.
Not satisfied with Secondary School Education only, DSP Daniel Ndukwe, after the usual admission rigour and competition, gained admission into the prestigious University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN), where he studied Public Administration and Local Government, and graduated with a Second Class Honours (Upper Division) Degree from the University in 2011. He is currently concluding his Master of Science (M.Sc.) Degree in Development Studies (majoring in Peace-Building and Conflict Resolution), from the Institute for Development Studies (IDS), University of Nigeria Enugu Campus.
He joined the Nigeria Police Force in 2016 as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police, and was consequently trained and commissioned as Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP). He has served and held different positions, including serving as the Officer in-charge of Patrol and
Guard in Uwani Police Division of Enugu State Command. And by the grace of God Almighty, he is currently the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of Enugu State Police Command.
DSP Daniel Ndukwe had a stint in teaching and banking before joining the Force. He as a matter fact, worked in both United Bank for Africa (UBA) PLC and Skye Bank PLC (now Polaris Bank Limited) from where resigned and joined the Force upon his appointment.
He has attended several professional courses, seminars and workshops, and is a member of the following professional bodies:
Associate Member, Nigerian Institute of Public Relations and
Graduate Member, Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered).
DSP Daniel Ndukwe has received several awards and only recently was awarded the Inspector-General of Police Commendation Award for Exemplary Representation of the Force, Activating Community Partnerships, Dominating the Social Media Space through Social Media Engagements and Feedbacks, as well as Prompt Response to and Handling of Citizens Complaints.
DSP Daniel Ndukwe is an unassuming and easy-going person, who likes, among other things, cooking, sports, reading and writing, as well as making new friends.
