Right on the 12th day of January 2023 as the feeling of the new year was still in the atmosphere that the southeast young icons where received in a grand style by solid 100.9 FM in collaboration with clue Africa magazine at the prestigious Nike lake resort hotel Enugu. It was on this event that AMB. DR. UGOCHI MADUEKE bagged the ICONIC HOSPITALITY CHAIR PERSON OF THE YEAR AWARD.
Also present at this event were Okwuluora Ndigbo, Didi's signature, AMB Dr Maxwell Stephen Ceo Seman Global, Hon.dr. Dubem Oguegbu PhD (Dubby Gustavo), Hon.Barr. Peter Mbah, AMB.DR. Ifeanyi Odii. who also received an award respectively.
Ugochigochi was born on 25 day of october 1977 to the family of chief Apollos and Mrs. .cecilia Onyekwelu.
She began her primary education at Chinatown Primary school Asata Enugu in 1983. She later enrolled in Girls High School Awkunanaw Enugu in 1990 and later became the Deputy Senior prefect of this noble school
She got married at the tender age of 18 in 1995 to late Mr Achonam Jason Madueke.
She studied law at the prestigious University of Lagos and later proceeded to law school Victoria island in 2005.
After law school, she ventured into the business world where she distinguished herself as a woman with a touch of gold. Anything she touches or engages becomes great value. She is the CEO of LAGUCHI Fabric.
Barr.Ugochi Madueke joined politics to fulfil her life dream of improving her immediate environment and the world at large. She joined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), on which platform she made attempts to contest for the office of the State House of Assembly. She was subsequently appointed the Senior Special Adviser (SSA) to the Governor where she, as usual, distinguished herself creditably well.
As is said, the rewards for hard work is more work, she was subsequently appointed the Executive Chairman of Nike Lake Resort Hotel in 2020
With a dint of hard work, dedication and passion she turned the fortunes of Nike Lake Resort Hotel for the better. Being a Team Player, she has worked very well with her Board Members and management team of the Hotel to restore the glory of Nike Lake.
In recognition of her diligence and service to God and humanity, Barr Ugochi Madueke was knighted by the Anglican Diocese of Afikpo. She is the matron of
Enugu state Anglican fellowship of ArcBishop Vining memorial cathedral lagos and Good shepherd society.
She is blessed with 3 lovely young adults who she has raised singlehandedly. Fate made her a widow at early age in marriage.
She has won many awards
She believes in fairness, diligence, dedication and equity in her every dealing in life.
A leader with purpose is one who defines success in terms of the legacy to be left behind.
ODIKACHOLU as she is fondly called has been living a purposeful life and continues to radiate positivity.
