HON. STEVE RODSTICK EZEH REVEALS WHY HE DECAMPED AND RESIGNED FROM APC LED GOVERNMENT AND NOW SUPPORTING ANYI CHUKS OF THE PDP.
WHY DID YOU DEFECT FORM THE RULING APC PARTY TO SUPPORT DR. IFEANYI ODII IN PDP?
A very popular saying goes that youths are the leaders of tomorrow. It is a world wide believe or knowledge, but in this context I am going to talk about how this idea has been a fallacy in Nigeria, specifically in Ebonyi state APC led government.
A goverment that never cared about the youths welfare but prefers to give them Guns to hunt their fellow humans in the name of an illegal security outfit.
I was a Special Assistant to the APC Governor of Ebonyi state on Talent Development. You can't talk about talent development without talking about the youths, they are the new talents that are meant to be harnessed for the forward moving of the society.
As a man given the responsibility to harnessed the Talent youths of Ebonyi state,
i did my homework and realized that unlike what people believe, Ebonyi youths has a lot of potentials,then I came up With series of projects that could've helped our youths, especially the talented ones, I had plans and proposals that will sky rocket these young ones and by so doing create employment and empowerment that will serve as an alternative to crime and other ill behaviours found among the youths of Ebonyi state.
I submitted these proposal to the office of the Governor of Ebonyi state but nothing was done about it , instead the state government created the dreaded Ebubeagu as the only alternative for youth development.
What they did was to incite violence in the youths, pushing them into crime, shearing weapons of destruction to them to perpetuate violence. The APC lead government has turned Ebonyi youths to weapon of mass destruction.
This is not the way we are going to lead tomorrow, what are you then teaching these youths, to be violent when they eventually enter office by chance?
So i said No, i can't continue with this kind of government, i can't continue to serve a government that has no interest in the positive development of the youth. I can't work in the office that is dormant. We have a lot of talented youths in Ebonyi who are wasting away, majority of them are hawkers in the major cities of the country .
Another reason for my resignation is that APC as a party have failed Nigerians,you can see how unpleasant the experience of the APC government is from 2015 till date .
So this are the major reason why i resigned.
WHAT DO YOU THINK THE PDP GOVERNOR WILL DO DIFFERENT IF HE EVENTUALLY WINS?
AMB. DR. IFEANYI ODII is a young renounced philanthropist, with an enticing wealth of experience, he is the only leader ready to work with the youths to further turn that popular saying that the youths are the leaders of tommorow,I must tell you that the tomorrow being talked about is here,and I'm happy that I'm alive to witness it in my own state.
He has over the years helped a lot of people in solving one problem or the other. He has been doing the government responsibilities as an individual,how much more if he becomes the Governor.We would be so lucky as a state to have him pilot our affairs. His government will not only be progressive but peaceful as well.
In his manifesto he already addressed how he would help the youth achieve their greatest goals. Where he talked about:
- Investing in training the youths to nurture their ideas in business and tech.
- Financial support for SMEs.
- To Create over 180,000 jobs annually by investing in agriculture, manufacturing,trade and commerce to fight unemployment.
- Train atleast 1000 youths annually by developing youth vocational training and apprenticeship centers in all local governments.
- Expand the involvement of youths in government.
- Partner with financial institutions to help the youths to nurture and be able to monetize their creative talents.
- Invest in sports and move the local team to national standard.
I'm convinced that Ebonyi state will be the hub of entertainment in Nigeria.
These are plans being set aside for the youths and which I am sure he will carry out if elected. This is a man who is conscientious about the well being of his fellow human being.
He is already on his path to victory and it gladens my heart that finally Ebonyi state is about to see the light. This is a breath of fresh air.
WHAT IS YOUR ADVISE TO EBONYI YOUTHS.
My advice to Ebonyi youths is simple,"Now is the time for the youths to shine both in leadership, business,civil service and every other sides of life .He will take our brothers and sisters off the street to a better life now and in the future.
